Position:
Postal / Parcel Delivery Driver
Employment Type:
Temporary, Up to 35 hours per week
Location:
Basingstoke
Pay Rate: £15.06 per hour
Shift Patterns:
Monday to Friday, including weekend flexibility
Pertemps is currently recruiting temporary Multi-Drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers on behalf of Parcel force. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals who enjoy independent outdoor work and have a strong passion for customer service.
Core Responsibilities- Preparation:
Begin shifts at the local delivery office to accurately sort and load daily deliveries. - Distribution:
Deliver mail and parcels both by vehicle and on foot. This physical role involves walking up to 8 miles per day. - Operations:
Utilise a company handheld device for navigating routes and capturing customer signatures. - Manual Handling:
Safely lift and carry mail bags weighing up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg, utilising delivery trolleys as required.
- Licence:
Must hold a valid, full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (a clean licence is preferred). - Resilience:
Ability to work comfortably outdoors across all weather conditions.
