Customer Accounts Advisor
The Aaron's Company, Inc. invites qualified candidates to join as a Customer Accounts Advisor. This role is part-time with an hourly rate of $12.25 to $13.00, and is eligible for incentive pay based on performance.
Customer Accounts Advisors act as coaches to customers, driving payment collections and lease agreement renewals by explaining lease benefits and ensuring customers are 100% satisfied with the product. They build relationships over the phone and face‑to‑face to bring customers one step closer to ownership.
Skills for SuccessSuccessful advisors connect and relate well to people, demonstrate empathy, listen attentively, explain things simply, and navigate difficult conversations. Strong multi‑tasking, organizational, negotiation and persuasion skills are necessary.
Responsibilities- Maintain and update customer account information in the store computer system and document all customer payment appointments.
- Contact customers who have not renewed their lease agreement(s) through home visits and phone calls.
- Sell customers the benefits of timely lease agreement renewal payments.
- Assist the Customer Account Manager in setting and achieving daily, weekly and monthly revenue and renewal goals.
- Assist with merchandise returns and guest deliveries as directed by management.
- Clean and certify merchandise in the Quality Assurance Center for all personally returned items.
- Complete and maintain weekly vehicle maintenance sheet and daily route sheets.
- Load, secure and protect product in company vehicle; operate vehicle safely.
- Assist the Sales Team as needed.
- Perform any reasonable duties requested by management.
- At least 21 years old (US) or 18 (Canada) with a valid state driver’s license and satisfactory MVR, complying with the company’s Driver Qualification Policy.
- Meet DOT requirements to obtain certification in required states (US).
- Ability to work a schedule of hours varying from 8 am to 9 pm.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without help and up to 300 lbs with assistance of a dolly.
- Preferred: two years of retail/customer service experience.
- Preferred: high school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High energy with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Proper telephone etiquette.
