• Quality control, merchandising, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the produce department.
• Inventory management.
• Coaching, providing feedback, and conducting one‑on‑one development discussions; recommend merit increases via bi‑annual performance reviews.
• Attend and participate in in‑store meetings.
• Recruit, hire, and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns, taking corrective actions when needed in partnership with business and HR partners.
• Create and adjust schedules and staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
• Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members.
• Lead a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product, highest service level, and the greatest customer experience.
• Serve as a Key Carrier for the store or Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed.

• At least 18 years old with 1‑3 years of grocery retail or produce management experience.
• Basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction within a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping: cleaning, sanitizing work area, floors, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects up to 50 lbs. and 4‑to‑72 in. for up to 10‑50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Use a pallet jack to move pallets up to 20 ft.; use a six‑wheel cart up to 35 lbs. for up to 20 ft.; walk up to 5 miles in an 8‑hour shift.
• Maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior and positive attitude toward Team Members and customers.
