About the role

PT Sefong Industries Batam is seeking a Finance & Accounting Staff to join our finance team on a full-time basis. Based in Batam, Riau Islands, this role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company's accounting operations. As Finance & Accounting Staff, you will be responsible for ensuring financial data is recorded accurately and in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.

This position plays a crucial role in supporting management decision-making through timely and reliable financial reporting.

• Recording and posting financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements and expense reports
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Maintaining financial records and ensuring data accuracy and completeness
• Processing invoices, purchase orders, and payment documentation
• Supporting tax compliance activities and ensuring adherence to tax regulations
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding financial matters
• Supporting audit activities and providing necessary documentation as required
• Performing general administrative tasks related to accounting operations

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in financial accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar accounting role
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and general ledger practices
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations and financial reporting requirements
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Professional demeanour and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
