• Procures, sources, and negotiates the purchase of machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for the operation of an organization.
• Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine the feasibility of purchasing products and to establish price objectives.
• Monitors the performance of suppliers.
• Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions.
• Tracks data to stay informed on price trends and market dynamics.
• Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and the ability to meet required schedules.
• Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, and maintains necessary records.
• May prepare requests for proposals (RFPs) and bid packages.

• Degree in Engineering/Management/Science is preferred
• Strong hands-on exposure in SAP in particular R2P function (Requisition to Pay)
• Proactive and driven individual
• Strong analytical skills and an understanding of system database and data elements
• Good knowledge of supply risk mitigation, supplier market intelligence, Ariba e-bidding
• Ability to address issues assertively in a respectful and appropriate manner
• Ability to organize and maintain an efficient filing system
