Project Superintendent

About the role

As a Project Superintendent at PT Marcopolo Shipyard, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of construction projects. This full-time position is based in Batam, Kepulauan Riau, and involves managing all aspects of the project lifecycle to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities on site, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Develop and implement project plans, monitor progress, and address any issues or risks that arise
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
• Lead and motivate the project team, providing guidance and support as needed
• Provide regular updates and reports on project status, budget, and performance
• Manage ship repair or conversion project
• Liaise with owner representative
• Overall project coordination and direction
• Management of project and ensure compliance with ship repair project management system

• Extensive experience (3+ years) in a project management or project superintendent role within the Shipyard Company.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of construction processes, materials, and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels
• Proven track record of delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Proficient in project management software and tools, such as scheduling, budgeting, and reporting
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in project management or construction management
• Fluent in English both oral and written
• Bachelor's degree in Naval architecture or any related fields
