School Counselor and Health Educator (Primary and Secondary)

Australian Intercultural School is seeking to appoint a qualified and committed School Counselor who will support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of students across Primary and Secondary levels.

• Provide individual and group counseling services to Primary and Secondary students
• Support students’ social-emotional development, behavior management, and overall well-being
• Collaborate with teachers, school leaders, and parents to address student needs
• Assist students with school-related concerns, including transitions, peer relationships, and personal development
• Teach Health Education to Secondary students in accordance with the school curriculum and values
• Plan, deliver, and assess Health lessons using age-appropriate and culturally sensitive approaches
• Support and implement school-wide well-being, safeguarding, and preventive programs
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date student records
• Liaise with external professionals and agencies when required, in accordance with school policies and procedures

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Guidance and Counseling or any related field. (A Master’s degree or recognized professional counseling certification will be an advantage)
• Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting
• Experience teaching Health or well-being–related subjects at the Secondary level is an advantage
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external stakeholders
• High standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical practice
• Sound knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and student welfare procedures
