Our facility in Batam, Indonesia specializes in the production of lighting and detection product technologies including our Specialty Lamps for industrial and photonics applications, IPL Lamps and Trigger Coils, as well as Infra-Red Detectors (IRD), Sensor Modules and Pyro-electric Ceramic Wafers. Operating since September 1994, this site is also responsible for manufacturing of our Thermopile Sensors (TPS), Thermopile modules (TPM), CCD Sensors and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.
We are presently seeking a Facilities Engineer who will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving facility maintenance activities to ensure that buildings and infrastructure are safe, compliant, and fully functional to support business operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and manage maintenance of building equipment and infrastructure.
- Design equipment specifications to meet building and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for maintenance, construction, repairs, and related activities.
- Supervise construction progress and contractor work, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental standards, timelines, costs, and contractual obligations.
- Assess utilities and operational setups to optimize efficiency.
- Develop and implement action plans for continuous improvement and resource efficiency.
- Prepare facility reports and maintain compliance documentation.
- Lead and implement building safety and environmental programs and initiatives.
- Provide training to junior staff on facility operations and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate and conduct preventive maintenance for facility equipment on a regular basis.
- Investigate equipment failures, perform repairs, and recommend improvements.
- Manage Building Management System (BMS) implementation.
- Monitor and report utilities and energy consumption regularly.
- Ensure adherence to quality, environmental, health, and safety management systems within the area of responsibility.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facility engineering or maintenance management.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, utilities management, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and energy efficiency programs.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good English communication skill (Written and Spoken)
- Skilled in Project Management and trained QMS and EHSMS related standard will be an added advantage.
