Job Description

Job Overview:

The Associate Fabrication Operations Spec utilizes existing Operations (Fab) procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and they will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to Operations (Fab) and Fabrication.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee the fabrication operations activities within the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) industry
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to schedule and prioritize fabrication activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards
  • Support the development and implementation of fabrication plans, including material procurement, manpower allocation, and equipment utilization
  • Coordinate Mechanical Completion activities including the readiness of systems handover to the Pre-commissioning Team
  • Coordinate between Yard, QC, Client QC and Pre-commissioning
  • Monitor and report progress on fabrication activities, identifying and resolving any potential bottlenecks or issues that may impact project deliverables
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to fabrication processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies
  • Participate in quality control inspections to ensure that fabrication activities meet prescribed standards and specifications
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing fabrication methodologies, and optimizing productivity
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct inspections, tests, and audits on fabricated components, ensuring adherence to industry codes and client requirements
  • Proactively identify potential quality-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Support the investigation and resolution of any non-conformances or deviations from prescribed fabrication procedures
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience within the EPCI industry, including significant experience
  • Strong understanding of fabrication operations within the EPCI industry
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in using industry-specific software and tools for fabrication planning and scheduling
  • Knowledge of quality control processes and techniques, with a keen eye for detail
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present information clearly and concisely
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive attitude, with a strong commitment to meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality results
