Job DescriptionJob Overview:
The Associate Production Engineer (Coating Discipline) is responsible for utilizing existing production procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team and will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to production and Fabrication.
ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Review project scope of work, schedules, and specifications; understand the requirements and deliverables.
- Prepare Work Package for work execution.
- Review the fabrication schedule and suggest corrections to the Planning Team.
- Ensure materials, fabrications and installations are in accordance with the specifications and drawings.
- Check material availability and review weekly material reports.
- Provide field guidance as necessary and ensure compliance with Project and Company specification.
- Attend production meetings and report concerns.
- Monitor scope changes and Production revision orders.
- Review weekly fabrication progress and assist to monitor production man-hours and productivity.
- Review two weeks look ahead plans and identify the constraints (material / drawings and actual construction condition).
- Liaise with Detailing engineer to ensure the drawing are issued timely / all parties understand any approved change.
- Liaise with shop/erection supervision to ensure compliance with the project plan.
Essential Qualifications and
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree S1/D4 in the field of study as follows:
- Coating discipline:
Material / Metallurgical Engineering or a typical Engineering bachelor degree with knowledge of Painting / Coating subject may be preferred.
- Coating discipline:
- Fresh Graduate or 0-2 years of work experience.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read/review engineering drawings and understand the requirement.
- Knowledge of Discipline Component for Fabrication/construction
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas onshore / offshore construction industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry code and standards and best practices related to production processes and facilities project execution is a plus.
- Relevant training and/or certifications in Project Execution is a plus.
- Experience in the EPCI industry or a similar Engineering field is a plus.
