Assistant Project Engineer

Job Summary

The Assistant Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the Project Engineer or Project Manager in planning, executing, monitoring, improving interdepartmental coordination, increasing product efficiency, and completing manufacturing or engineering projects, particularly for New Product Introduction (NPI) Models related to stamping, tooling, and machining production. This assistant also ensures projects are completed on time while maintaining quality and safety standards.

• Assisted in project planning, scheduling, and execution activities from project kick off until production implementation.
• Monitored project schedules, manpower allocation, and material readiness.
• Coordinate activities between production, tooling, quality, maintenance, engineering, and purchasing departments to achieve 100% project success.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
• Prepare and review for BOM (Bill of Materials) and NJI (New Job Information) for pre-production into SAP systems.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and manufacturing standards.
• Supported continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality performance.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen or A3 activities to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with OQA, QA and Production for delivery arrangement.
• Communicate with customers to maintain forecasts and purchase orders from customers.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
• Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Ensure project activities comply with safety, quality, and company standards.

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; experience in manufacturing or project coordination is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and PowerPoint).
• Familiar with GD&T (Geometrics dimensions and Tolerancing) and design applications (Solid Works).
• Familiar with project management software such as Microsoft Project is an advantage.
• Good communication skills and high initiative self‑service.
• Great attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Willing to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
