Job Description SummaryResident Engineer – Mechanical will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all Mechanical works on site for data centre construction projects. This role ensures that Mechanical systems are installed, tested and commissioned in compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, safety standards, and data centre operational requirements. The role acts as the technical representative on site, coordinating contractors, consultants and stakeholders to deliver high-availability, mission‑critical infrastructure.
Job Description About the Role- Supervise day-to-day Mechanical aspects of construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and data centre standards.
- Review and coordinate Mechanical shop drawings, method statements and technical submittals with consultants and contractors.
- Ensure all Mechanical works adhere to safety, quality and regulatory requirements, including local codes and international data centre best practices.
- Report construction progress, technical issues and risks to the Project Manager, and support site inspections, testing and handover activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in construction supervision, with at least 2–3 years in data centre or other mission‑critical facilities.
- Experience managing contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary site teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑availability construction environment.
