NDT Tech

Job Description Overview

The NDT Tech provides solutions to problems in the NDT discipline without supervisory approval and will evaluate and select solutions from established operating procedures and scientific procedures.

• Examine welds / materials by Radiography (RT), Ultrasonic (UT), Magnetic Particle (MT), and Dye Penetrant (PT) based on code and contractual specifications
• Determine conformity / non-conformity flaws and report accurately
• Perform NDT examination of welds and materials by RT, UT, PT, or MT based on a written Project NDT plan, NDT procedures, code, and Contractual Specification
• Execute the examination by approved NDT procedures and internationally recognized codes / specs.
• Determine acceptance / rejection based on the defined criteria. Liaise with the assigned QC Inspector to determine the completion of rectification work.
• Report conforming work for rectification; ensure rectified and inspected work by the QC Inspector before re‑examination by the original NDT method.

• Two plus (2+) years of Engineering Degree or High School Diploma
• Three plus (3+) years in Radiography or Ultrasonic
• ASNT or CSWIP qualification
• Occupationally qualified to internationally recognized competency schemes such as PCN, CSWIP, ASNT, etc.
