HSE Officer

As an HSE Officer at PT Marcopolo Shipyard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and environmental well-being of our operations in Batam, Riau Islands. This full-time position is essential in upholding our commitment to the highest standards of occupational safety and environmental protection.

• Implementing and monitoring health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and practices across the shipyard
• Conducting risk assessments, developing and executing safety plans, and providing training to employees on safety protocols
• Investigating incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation
• Promoting a strong safety culture through effective communication, awareness campaigns and employee engagement
• Maintaining comprehensive records and reporting on key health, safety and environmental performance indicators
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential risks and sustainability opportunities

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of HSE experience in a shipyard / shipbuilding environment
• AGT (Authorized Gas Tester) certification preferred
• Good knowledge of HSE regulations, procedures, and systems
• Familiar with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
• Good understanding of environmental regulations
• Good command of English, both written and verbal
• Able to work under pressure and as part of a team
