About the role
We are seeking a Document Control (Civil Engineering Graduate) to join our team in East Jakarta on a contract basis
. This is a critical position within our engineering operations, responsible for managing, organising, and maintaining all technical documentation throughout the lifecycle of civil engineering projects. You will play a vital role in ensuring that project documentation is accurate, accessible, and compliant with industry standards and client requirements. This position is essential to our project delivery success, supporting both our engineering teams and stakeholders with reliable document management systems.
responsibilities
- Establish and maintain comprehensive document management systems for civil engineering projects, ensuring all technical drawings, specifications, and reports are properly catalogued and stored
- Receive, review, and process engineering documents, including design drawings, calculations, method statements, and project reports for accuracy and compliance
- Control document revisions and maintain revision histories, ensuring all team members are working with the latest approved versions
- Distribute documents to relevant project stakeholders, contractors, and site teams in accordance with project requirements and contractual obligations
- Create and maintain document registers, indexes, and filing systems that enable efficient retrieval and tracking of project information
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely submission of documents and adherence to project schedules and milestones
- Prepare document transmittals, cover sheets, and correspondence related to document submissions and approvals
- Monitor document status and track approvals from clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities
- Maintain digital and physical archives of all project documentation in compliance with company policies and industry standards
- Support quality assurance activities by verifying that documentation meets specified standards and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in document management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, and familiarity with document management software
- Understanding of civil engineering practices, project delivery processes, and technical documentation standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Indonesian and English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced project environment
- Strong time management capabilities and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines
