Structural Fitter Supervisor

Job Description

• Responsible for all daily operational activities within his department.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policy and any Overriding Company Policies.
• Responsible for carrying out Task Risk Assessment prior to work commencement.
• Responsible for invoking and continually improving safe working practices on the project.
• Formally review weekly progress and agree weekly plan ahead with the project Fitting Superintendent.

• Maintain and update the Fitting Standard Operating Procedure.
• Provide leadership, direction, support and daily supervision for fitting crew.
• Responsible and accountable for the maintenance of fitting equipment and materials which have been allocated to the project.
• Clearly delegate actions and responsibilities and define deliverable requirements in terms of scope and schedule to the team.
• Responsible for ensuring that each employee is adequately trained and qualified to execute his work assignment competently and safely.
• Facilitate and maintain good inter-discipline communications and cohesion throughout the project.
• Responsible for ensuring seamless job continuity between shifts by establishing and maintaining good lines of communication.
• Continually review and institute measures for improvement by modification to operating procedures/work instructions.
• Fully understand and proactively invoke the Company HSE Policy, Philosophy and Procedures.
• Ensure the standard of fit-up is inspected and is acceptable in accordance with the relevant WPS and/or Specification.
• Perform Task Risk assessment prior to work commencement.
• Maintain high standard of safe working practice, quality and productivity as well as compliance with Code of Business Conduct.

• Snr. High School / Diploma.
• 10 Years experience as Str. Fitter Supervisor.
