The Technician III, Chemical Production Operations (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for handling tasks related to the production of medical devices products or implantable lenses, including working with various chemicals, mixing compounds, and maintaining equipment. You will be expected to apply advanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.

Typical Day Activities
  • Handle tasks related to the production of medical devices products or implantable lenses
  • Work with various chemicals and mix compound ingredients for various formulations
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment such as balances, homogenizers, chromatography column, and moisture analyzer.
  • Properly dispose of laboratory waste and reagents in accordance with procedure
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping practices to ensure a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to meet current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while maintaining accurate records
  • Ensure compliance with Good Practice (GXP) requirements by inspecting products, following standard operating procedures, and addressing deviations and issues promptly
  • Work in compliance with the HSE Manual and all documented procedures, promptly reporting any HSE concerns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling
  • Commit to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Analyst, Chemical Engineering, or Biochemistry. Experience in a chemistry laboratory is preferred.
  • Open to fresh graduates applicants with a good understanding of chemistry.
  • Preferably 2-3 years of experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industry with exposure to a chemistry laboratory or production floor.
  • Strong understanding of good laboratory practices and good manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to operate chemistry laboratory equipment effectively.
  • Knowledge of chemical characteristics and hazardous chemicals.
  • Good understanding in English (minimum passive).}
