QC Welding Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform fit up and welding visual inspection in line with project specs and code.
• Perform manual DC measurements with tape, laser distance meter, etc. for structure, pressure vessels, and piping.
• Send NOI and escort and perform joint inspection with client as and when required.
• Ensure NDT and coverage are sufficiently done per weld map and timely requested.
• Ensure daily communication to client for NOI updates, provide updates to superiors as required.
• Ensure all prerequisite documents are in place at site and all joint matrix box data are properly filled at site.
• Ensure QC document controller has proper material and welding traceability in place.
• Coordinate with DC surveyor team and painting team and issue release notes as necessary.
• Willing to work night shift and perform any other QC related duties when required by organization or QC Manager.
• Perform boroscope inspection, coordinate with boroscope team and generate boroscope reports timely on a daily basis.

• Approx. minimum 3 years relevant experience.
• Certified welding inspector (minimum CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, etc.).
• RI Certification (PCN or CSWIP) certification would be an added advantage.
• Technical Diploma or Degree will be preferable.
• Willing to be stationed at sub-con facility within Batam whenever requested by organization, supervisor, or QC Manager.
