QA Engineer

Our client is seeking a QA Engineer to join our growing offshore QA team in Indonesia. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career quality professional who enjoys both manual testing and test automation. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our web applications and APIs while working closely with engineering and product teams across Indonesia and Singapore.

Under the guidance of senior QA professionals, you will contribute to functional testing, automation initiatives, and quality assurance best practices, gaining increasing ownership and autonomy as you grow within the role.

• Analyzing product requirements, user stories, and API specifications to define comprehensive test coverage
• Creating structured test cases and test plans covering functional, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios
• Executing manual testing activities across feature development, sprint releases, and regression cycles
• Performing exploratory testing to identify defects and usability issues beyond predefined test cases
• Logging, tracking, and validating defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence in English
• Participating in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies as the QA representative
• Developing and maintaining automated test scripts for REST APIs and web applications using Playwright and Type Script
• Following established automation framework standards, including Page Object Model (POM) architecture and reusable components
• Building data-driven automated tests across multiple environments and datasets
• Validating API responses across formats including JSON, XML, PDF, and HTML
• Integrating automated test execution results into reporting frameworks such as Allure and JUnit
• Maintaining test repositories, execution cycles, and quality documentation within Zephyr Scale
• Tracking test coverage and reporting quality metrics to relevant stakeholders
• Ensuring adherence to the team’s quality standards and Definition of Done

• You have 1–2 years of experience in software quality assurance, including manual testing and test execution activities
• You possess a strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, SDLC processes, and QA best practices
• You have hands‑on experience testing REST APIs and validating response structures, status codes, and payloads
• You bring working knowledge of Type Script, Node.js, and modern test automation frameworks such as Playwright
• You are comfortable using Git and collaborating within version‑controlled development environments
• You have experience working with Jira, Zephyr Scale, or similar test management tools
• You communicate clearly in written English and produce high‑quality test documentation and defect reports
• You are self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating with distributed teams
