POSITION SUMMARY

The Incoming Quality Control Engineer is mainly responsible supervising a team of incoming quality control inspectors and technicians working for the quality assurance that only good materials coming from suppliers shall be issued for production use. He uses quality control methodologies in determining if the parts are good or not. This includes the use of sampling inspection techniques and statistical process control in analysing the parts and related data.

This role also involves in performing tests, documenting results, and reporting any issues to the SQE Engineer or Manager. He works closely with production teams to get necessary feedback and communicate back to the supplier for analysis and corrective‑action.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCY
  • Min. Diploma Degree in relevant study
  • Having related experience from an electronic or PCBA company for 2 years
  • Good knowledge of tools measurements
  • Having relevant knowledge such as using Microsoft Office and relevant software
  • Experience in the automotive industry would be good advantage
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Having Strong interpersonal skills and agile mindset
  • Strong attention to detail for analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ensure daily tasks are performed in alignment with OHS&E practices and applicable standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and Automotive Quality Management System (IATF 16949)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise a team of incoming quality control inspectors and technicians
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards for incoming materials
  • Analyze quality data coming from supplier, Supplier outgoing report
  • Communicate and cooperate with SQE to supplier with regards to quality issues which includes the issuance and handling of non‑conforming reports
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and address quality issues
  • Perform spc study on product critical dimension and parameters
  • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials
  • Perform various tests and measurements to ensure products meet specifications and regulatory standards
  • Use measurement and testing equipment accurately to assess product quality, maintain and keep equipment according to the standard requirement needed
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and other quality assurance activities
  • Prepare and present reports on product quality and non‑conformance issues
  • Document corrective actions and monitor their implementation
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality
  • Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures
  • Maintain and keep working area to meet environmental requirements and regulation compliance.
