Shipyard Quality Assurance & ISO Senior Staff
Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive quality assurance systems and procedures aligned with ISO standards and Shipyard industry best practices.
Conduct regular inspections, audits and quality assessments across shipyard operations to identify non-conformities and areas for improvement.
Oversee documentation and record-keeping for all quality-related activities, including inspection reports, test certificates and compliance records.
Lead root cause analysis investigations for quality issues and develop corrective and preventative action (CAPA) plans.
Manage ISO certification processes and prepare for external audits and surveillance audits.
Provide training and mentoring to quality assurance staff and operational teams on quality standards and procedures.
Liaise with clients, classification societies and regulatory authorities regarding quality matters and compliance verification.
Monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and quality requirements during all shipyard activities.
Prepare quality reports, metrics and performance indicators for management review.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement and operation departments to ensure quality is embedded throughout project delivery.
What we're looking forMinimum 3 years of professional experience in quality assurance within the shipbuilding, maritime or heavy construction industry.
Demonstrated expertise in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other relevant quality management systems.
Strong knowledge of maritime industry standards, classification society requirements and international maritime regulations.
Proven experience conducting internal and external quality audits and managing ISO certification processes.
Excellent understanding of shipyard operations, welding procedures, material testing and fabrication processes.
Advanced proficiency in quality control methodologies, statistical process control and non‑destructive testing (NDT) principles.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and mentor junior quality staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
Indonesian language proficiency is advantageous.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related discipline.
Professional certification such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, & ISO 45001.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
