Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating and executing QC inspection activities to ensure project quality requirements are met. The role covers material receiving, in-process, and final inspections for hull, structural, and outfitting works, as well as verification of fabrication and installation against approved drawings, specifications, ITP, and applicable codes and standards. The position also coordinates with Class, Owners, third-party inspectors, and other trades, monitors inspection and testing activities, identifies non-conformities, and ensures proper completion and maintenance of inspection reports and quality records.
Key ResponsibilitiesTasks and Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and execute QC inspection activities in accordance with project requirements.
- Liaise with Class, Owner, third-party inspectors, and other trades to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Conduct material receiving, in-process, and final inspections for hull, structural, and outfitting works.
- Verify fabrication and installation against approved drawings, specifications, ITP, and applicable codes.
- Coordinate and support Class/Owner final inspection and acceptance.
- Monitor compliance with the ITP, inspection and testing requirements, and project schedule.
- Identify non-conformities, raise Observation Reports/NCRs, and follow up corrective actions.
- Ensure inspection reports and quality records are properly completed, signed, and maintained.
- Maintain daily QC activities, inspection status, and relevant documentation.
- Ensure QC activities are performed in accordance with quality and safety requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 3 years of QA/QC Inspector experience in shipyard, oil & gas industry, or related fields.
- Good knowledge of Classification Society rules, applicable codes, and project standards.
- Proficient in ITP-based inspection, testing techniques, and quality requirements.
- Good English communication and report-writing skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, with strong planning and execution skills.
- CSWIP 3.1 certification or equivalent is preferred
- Bachelors in Naval Architect
- Diploma in Engineering or Others
