Role Overview

Join Amcor as a Press Operator where you will lead all press line operations, including changeovers, start‑up, running, and shut‑down, while prioritizing safety and compliance with specifications.

Schedule

Shift: 12‑hour shifts (7 PM – 7 AM) on a 4‑3 rotation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of operation of Press lines including changeovers, machine start‑up, running and shut‑down.
  • Support operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, beginning with Safety.
  • Run all jobs in accordance with customer specification, manufacturing specification, print specification, color folders and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely, including production reports, job verification sheets, ink usage sheets, QA reports, roll tickets and S.O.C sheets.
  • Work with and direct the press assistant and pit crew to minimize job change‑over and down time.
  • Train and direct the press assistant to become efficient at all the required assistant duties defined in each level of the assistant training matrix on time.
  • Comply with all 5S and WCM initiatives (Cross Training, moving to the work).
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledgeable and able to understand a computer and programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Required to have visual acuity to perform visual inspection including the use of measurement devices and ability to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50–60 lbs.
  • Willing and able to stand and walk for 8–12 hour shifts.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Frequent use of wrists and hands.
  • Frequent stepping up and down from platforms.
