Material Handler / Forklift Operator

Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday).

Batavia, IL. Start Pay: $20.25

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our first shift team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for moving, storing, and managing materials using forklifts and other equipment to support production and shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks, verify incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Move materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and complete necessary documentation.
• Inspect equipment daily and report any maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
• Cutting boards down to size using specifications.
• Coating foam boards with mortar, a light / wet cement.
• Trimming the boards to remove excess mortar from the sides to clean them up for sale.
• Lift 50 lbs. regularly.
• Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements / Required Skill Set >

Must be able to stand for an 8+ hour day. Safety equipment: glasses (provided), steel toe boots.
