Maintenance Attendant

Job Summary

The Beach Maintenance Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards at the Quarry. This is a seasonal, part‑time position.

• Monitor the appearance of the Quarry facilities by keeping areas clean and sanitizing tables, restrooms, and bathrooms using established practices.
• Pick up loose trash and empty garbage cans inside and outside the Quarry.
• Clean up spills and messes in concession and other areas of the Park.
• Rake beach and remove rocks as needed.
• Perform daily maintenance of the beach, including sand removal.
• Power wash the diving tower.
• Organize picnic tables for patrons.

One year of service experience and minimum age 18.

• Ability to operate maintenance machinery such as power washer and leaf blower.
• First Aid/CPR Certified.
• Ability to communicate with the public.
• Ability to deal with residents under stressful conditions.
• Problem‑solving skills.
• Understand and anticipate customer needs to support a customer‑service environment.
• Portray a professional image of the District.
• Perform all tasks within guidelines and rules of the District’s safety program.
• Adhere to the time and attendance policy.
• Adhere to the dress code policy.
• Adhere to the District’s CORE Values.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• Requires frequent sitting and walking with occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Occasional lifting and/or moving items weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Most activities performed outdoors in sunny, hot, humid, and wet conditions.
• Exposure to a quiet noise level in the office and a moderately loud level outdoors.
• Hours:
  
  10:30 am – 7:00 pm daily (30 hours per week).

* Starting Rate: $15.50 per hour (hourly rate may vary based on experience or qualifications).
