Life Enrichment Assistant (Art Instructor), Full-Time – Covenant Living of Colorado
Responsibilities- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and implementation of life enrichment programs.
- Assist in the set‑up and decorating for special events, including themed celebrations such as Mother’s Day and Christmas.
- Assist in setting up rooms, materials, and furnishings for programs; clean up following events.
- Lead programs such as exercise, educational, arts and crafts, and social events.
- Record attendance as necessary.
- Operate and maintain equipment.
- Maintain bulletin boards, prepare materials, and distribute calendar of events.
- Observe resident conditions on an ongoing basis, reporting to the Life Enrichment Coordinator and other personnel.
- Chart residents’ progress and general observations for medical records as assigned; participate in care planning for care center residents.
- Transport residents to and from activity programs; accompany on outside trips and activities.
- Assist in the transportation of residents during fire, disaster, or emergency evacuation procedures.
- Engage in one‑on‑one visits with healthcare residents.
- Preferred Degree:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. - Experience:
Entry Level.
- Creativity and ability to teach and use various crafts and related equipment.
- Organizational, customer service, communication, and time‑management skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office/community setting.
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
- Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate various equipment based on department and weather conditions.
- Engage in repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and fingers (typing/writing).
- Clarity of vision:
- Near visual acuity at approximately 20 inches or less (e.g., small objects, reading small print, use of computers).
- Far visual acuity at 20 feet or more.
- Perceptual vision adequate for observing area up/down or left/right while fixed on a given point.
$15.00 – $17.51 per hour.
