SUMMARY

As a Materials Handling Tech I your key role is to organize track and deliver supplies that are vital to the success of the hospital. Ensuring that each room and floor is stocked and prepared for the next patient at all times is an essential practice throughout the system.

UMMC Supply Chain - Materials Management

8 hour shifts Mon-Friday 7am-3:30pm

• Complete Materials Management Skills Checklist I required
• Participated in Hazardous Materials Safety Training and Safety Lifting Program
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office software familiarity

• Supply & Distribution. Ensure all necessary forms are completed; ensure all materials are stocked to the appropriate level per exchange cart; report all inventory discrepancies to Buyer / Planner Supervisors and / or Materials Manager; inventory and maintain medical equipment supply levels
• Management of Receivables. Ensure materials are kept in their proper location; review package slips and verify incoming materials
• Messenger Services. Fill miscellaneous orders from departments; transport materials to designated areas with documentation; ensure all incoming materials are signed for by the department

H - Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and / or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and / or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires constant walking standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience relevant qualifications specialty internal equity location and contracts.
