Summary ofJob Duties
Health Professions teaching positions are appointed on a course‑by‑course basis with courses scheduled as online, hybrid, or in‑person (day and/or evening), depending on program needs. Faculty assignments are determined based on instructor availability and course needs.
Academic programs/courses within Health Professions include Nursing, Emergency Medicine, Phlebotomy, Certified Nursing Assistant, Health Professions, Medical Office Management, and Medical Billing/Coding. Qualified applicants for part‑time faculty consideration are welcomed in all of these areas.
Adjunct faculty must be committed to supporting community college teaching and student success. Primary responsibilities will include classroom instruction, assessment of student learning, utilization of the learning management system (Blackboard Ultra), and collaboration with UACCB’s team to improve and grow the College’s programs.
Salary is paid on a course/credit‑hour basis based on current institution policy.
Qualifications- Master’s Degree with 18 semester credit hours in the major concentration area for the relevant program/courses.
- Doctorate preferred.
- Higher education experience and online teaching are a plus.
