. Sherwood Urgent Care is looking for dedicated and compassionate ARRT Radiology or Limited License X‑Ray Techs to join our dynamic healthcare team in Batesville, Arkansas.
Sherwood Urgent Care is an affiliate of Urgent Team, one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. With three locations in Arkansas, we provide quality and affordable family healthcare at more than 80 locations under eight brands. Our walk‑in centers offer a range of services including treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care.
Centers are open seven days a week:
Mon. to Fri., 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.;
Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.;
Sunday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. All centers are Accredited Care Centers by the Urgent Care Association.
This full‑time position performs X‑ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement using anatomy and physiology knowledge. The technician operates diagnostic equipment, develops film, and prepares the room with necessary supplies for procedures, while also performing Medical Assistant duties. Team members work a rotating 36–40 hour week with 12‑hour weekday shifts and every‑other weekend. PRN (per diem) staff are scheduled as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Promptly greet patients in the waiting area, exam room, laboratory, or X‑ray room.
- Communicate wait times clearly and direct patients to the next step in treatment.
- Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize and seek help in emergent or hazardous situations.
- Execute follow‑up calls with a sense of urgency.
- Assist front‑desk personnel with patient check‑in/out procedures when necessary.
- Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs and weight, conduct brief histories (past medical, family, social, current medications, allergies).
- Assist with patient transfers and with procedures directly supervised by the provider.
- Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation for patient visits.
- Perform timely radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
- Perform necessary quality‑control procedures to ensure quality exams.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures for patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
- Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report malfunctions to the manager or provider on duty.
- Maintain and improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with support and outside educational resources.
- Maintain current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS Certification.
- AR State X‑Ray License.
- ARRT Certification preferred.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
