Future Fuel Chemical is looking for Chemical Procurement Technologist to purchase chemical raw material used in manufacturing.
About The PositionThe Chemical Procurement Technologist at Future Fuel Chemical Company is a pivotal role within our Indirect Purchasing team, responsible for the strategic acquisition of chemical raw materials, equipment, and essential services. This position involves leveraging strong negotiation and analytical skills to manage raw material purchasing, ensuring optimal pricing, timely delivery, and overall value. The Technologist will utilize SAP ERP and Microsoft Office tools to streamline procurement processes, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, contributing directly to the efficiency and success of our manufacturing operations.
KeyQualifications
- Previous purchasing experience, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Proficiency with SAP ERP and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated abilities in analysis, initiative, time management, and self-direction.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Converting requisitions to formal purchase orders and contracts.
- Managing chemical raw material purchasing.
- Negotiating optimal quotations, prices, and delivery times.
- Utilizing SAP ERP to prepare, review, track, and update purchase orders.
- Applying economic analysis to determine best value.
- Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
- Preparing reports and analyses using Microsoft Office tools.
- Supporting project implementation by connecting with quality, technology, and engineering resources.
