Caretaker

We are seeking a Caretaker to join our central site support team here at The Partnership Trust. The post holder will be required to support our schools across Bath and the local area, and will be predominantly based at Weston All Saints Primary School.

The primary purpose of this post is to undertake a range of repair, maintenance and monitoring duties with regard to the building, site and environment ensuring compliance, safety and security. As Caretaker, you will assist in the provision of efficient and effective site support services to ensure the school is a safe, secure and comfortable environment for its pupils and staff and visitors.

The role may involve working split shifts of 7.30am
-10.30am and , Monday to Friday, but we are open to applications from candidates who would like to propose alternate timings.

• Day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the school buildings and grounds
• Opening and closing the site, including responding to alarms if required
• Carrying out minor repairs and liaising with contractors where necessary
• Overseeing site safety and security
• Supporting with lettings and school events as needed
• Undertaking and supporting compliance checks to ensure Health & Safety requirements are met, including routine testing record‑keeping, and reporting any issues promptly

• To undertake other appropriate duties in line with the scope of the role.
• To work at other Trust schools as required to cover in the event of staff absence or in situations where additional support is required.

The salary indicated is based on a pay scale. New appointments are normally made at the bottom of the scale. Progression through the scale is dependent on length of service in line with our pay policy
