Position: Assistant Professor (Lecturer)

About the role

This role requires an exceptional academic who has a high potential for national/international research impact within at least one of the priority areas of clean energy, digital technologies, life sciences, or professional and business services.

Priority Areas
  • Clean Energy Industries:
    Hydrogen and biogas fuels, energy networks, environmental economics, green finance, ethical supply chains, and behavioural change.
  • Digital and Technologies: AI and machine learning, cybersecurity, spatial intelligence, robotics, human-computer interaction, and digital transformation.
  • Life Sciences:
    Drug discovery, diagnostics, pain research, preventative healthcare, wearable biosensors, and public health surveillance.
  • Professional and Business Services:
    Retail innovation, fintech, smart logistics, digital policy, and inclusive growth.

This is a research-intensive role, with the expectation of significant contributions to research excellence and innovation as well as contributing to teaching within your associated Department. Successful applicants will be required to relocate to the UK. Bath offers a reimbursement scheme to help towards relocation and visa costs.
