Walker & Sloan are working with an outstanding regional construction contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of a flagship project in Bath.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected contractor with a reputation for delivering high-quality, complex projects across the South West.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the overall commercial management of a flagship construction project in Bath. Working alongside the Project Director and wider site team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered profitably, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply-chain partners.

• Leading the commercial delivery of the flagship construction project
• Managing procurement and subcontractor package awards
• Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and CVRs
• Administering subcontract accounts, variations, and final accounts
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
• Supporting programme delivery through effective cost management
• Producing accurate monthly commercial reports for senior leadership
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
• Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members where required

• Previous experience operating as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
• Proven track record delivering major construction projects
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts and commercial management processes
• Excellent negotiation and subcontract procurement experience
• Commercially astute with strong financial and analytical skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ambitious, proactive, and capable of operating autonomously on large-scale schemes
