We are recruiting for multiple roles, across the Wessex Water region, from Bristol and Bath down to Salisbury and Poole. Therefore, we are accepting applicants from across this area.

  • operate to financial deadlines and react to the demands of construction delivery to ensure the best value
  • attend regular financial meetings with senior team members
  • work closely with Project Managers, Designers, Engineers and Estimators.

The roles are based across the Wessex Water region, which includes locations in Bristol, Bath, Yeovil, Poole and Taunton. You will be based at various sites or in office hubs across the region.

What you'll need

For this role, you'll have:

  • quantity surveying experience in the construction industry, preferably with the use of the NEC Suite of Contracts
  • completed a degree in quantity surveying or a similar qualification
  • membership of the RICS/ICES is also desirable but not essential
  • experience with change and risk management, as well as tender and final account negotiation
  • good people skills, including leadership skills and the ability to form professional relationships with others
  • good computer skills and a sound knowledge of health and safety related to the role.

As this position will require travel between YTL offices and construction sites, a full UK driving licence is required.

What you'll receive
  • A combined pension contribution of up to 20%.
  • Career progression and professional development opportunities.
  • 25 days' holiday rising to 28 with length of service.
  • The opportunity to sell up to five days of holiday every year.
  • The opportunity to buy up to ten days of holiday each year (subject to conditions).
  • A healthcare package that allows you to claim back healthcare costs.

  • Cashback and discounts from more than 3,000 retailers.
  • One paid volunteering day each year.
  • Enhanced family leave and pay arrangements.
