Locum Consultant Breast Surgeon

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a full‑time Locum Consultant Surgeon with a subspecialist interest in Breast Surgery to join our dedicated and forward‑thinking breast unit at the Royal United Hospital Bath. This specialist post focuses solely on the delivery of high‑quality breast surgery services, with no general surgery commitment. You will be part of a highly experienced multidisciplinary team and play a central role in patient care across their diagnostic and surgical journey.

• Provide expert clinical input within the symptomatic breast clinic, assessing and managing new and follow‑up patients.
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and patient‑centred care.
• Lead and support the surgical phase of treatment for patients with breast cancer.
• Contribute to the smooth running of clinical areas and undertake the associated administrative duties required to deliver an efficient service.
• Maintain accurate documentation, ensure timely communication and support service governance where required.

The post will be based entirely at the RUH Breast Unit, offering a focused and well‑supported environment for specialist practice. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care throughout the diagnostic and surgical pathways for patients with breast symptoms and breast cancer.
