Lecturer in Art and Design – Photography

Bath College invites applications for a Lecturer role in Art and Design (Photography).

Contract
:
Permanent, 30–37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Location: Bath, England.

Salary: £28,903 – £38,110 per year.
Final date to receive applications: 5 January 2026.

Department: ART – ART.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Deliver high standards of teaching and learning and monitor assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements.
  • Deliver departmental core modules in line with UAL specifications.
  • Support delivery of Level 1–3 across art and design disciplines.
  • Use blended learning, face‑to‑face and online (Microsoft Teams).
  • Lead lessons using Adobe Suite and InDesign; produce schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment plans.
  • Maintain records of formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide pastoral care, promote employer engagement and support the College reputation.

Qualifications and Experience
:

  • Relevant degree in Art and Design.
  • Teaching qualification and/or experience in Further Education.
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above.
  • Experience in photography using Adobe Suite, darkroom and analogue processes.
  • Experience in photography studio, effective lighting for shoots.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven experience delivering learning.
  • Understanding of digital creation software.
