About The Role

Working closely with another Programmes Manager you will lead the Taught Programme Team in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage and enhance the staff and student experience of programme administration within the Faculty.

This role will cover a breadth of policy and procedures related to academic quality and standards, student experience, and more generally the student lifecycle.

The Faculty offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses and research across diverse subjects such as economics, education, politics, languages, sport, psychology and social sciences.

Our professional services teams play a crucial role in supporting academic excellence and delivering an outstanding student experience.

You will combine leadership skills with energy, enthusiasm and strategic thinking to lead by example and support the team to provide an efficient professional service.

You should be able to communicate effectively and develop good working relationships with a range of colleagues of varying seniority and students.

With a large team and line management responsibilities, you should have excellent organisational skills, be a good team player and be able to manage your workload and stakeholder expectations.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for:

  • Significant experience of programme administration and a general understanding of the HE sector.
  • Experience of line-management.
  • Leadership skills to support implementation of change and evolving policies and processes.
  • Well-developed influence and relationship building skills.
  • A willingness to embrace change and positivity.
