Protocol Education is working with secondary schools across Bath/NE Somerset and surrounding areas to find confident, reliable people to work as Unqualified Teachers and Cover Supervisors
.

You don’t need QTS
, and you won’t be thrown in unprepared. We give you the training and support to feel confident from day one.

• Supervising pre-set lessons when teachers are absent

• Keeping classrooms calm, focused, and positive

• Supporting students to stay on task and complete their work

• Managing behaviour in a fair and confident way

• Passing work and notes back to teaching staff

• Following safeguarding procedures at all times

You’ll work across different subjects and year groups, which is brilliant experience if you’re exploring a future in teaching.

Before you start, you’ll get FREE Cover Supervisor training
, designed by experienced school staff. It covers:

• How to manage a classroom confidently

• Positive behaviour strategies

• What schools expect from cover staff

• How to make a great impression and stand out

You’ll also receive FREE Thrive Approach training
, helping you:

• Understand behaviour more deeply

• Build stronger relationships with pupils

• Support students with SEMH and SEND needs

• Create calmer, more positive classroom environments

• Graduates in any subject

• People with experience working with children or young people

• Coaches, tutors, youth workers, lecturers, or mentors

• Those considering teacher training in the future

• Teachers trained outside the UK without QTS

• Anyone looking for a meaningful career change

• A degree or strong experience working with young people

• Confidence and a positive attitude

• Good communication skills

• The right to work in the UK

• A genuine interest in education and making a difference

• Pay: £100 to £150 per day, depending on experience

• Hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm

• Contract: Full-time or part-time

• Start date: Flexible

• Location: Bath/NE Somerset and surrounding areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
