About Role

The Assessment Manager will lead the School’s specialist Assessment Team, ensuring undergraduate and postgraduate assessments are delivered accurately, fairly, and in full compliance with University regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with University regulations and assessment frameworks
  • Provide expert guidance to academic and professional staff on assessment matters
  • Analyse operational data to identify and implement process improvements
  • Plan team workloads and resources during peak assessment cycles
  • Support staff development, wellbeing, and performance management

Requirements
  • First degree or equivalent professional experience in a complex, regulated environment
  • Working knowledge of assessment processes and higher education regulatory frameworks
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Ability to translate strategic priorities into effective operational practice
  • Strong stakeholder management and advisory skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong organisational capability
  • Digital confidence and experience using data systems to support decision-making
  • Eligibility to meet UK right-to-work or Skilled Worker visa requirements if applicable
