Academics are currently recruiting for an Academic Support Specialist to join a welcoming and well-respected mainstream primary school in Bath. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education to support classroom learning across Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2.

This role is ideal for aspiring teachers looking to gain valuable classroom experience and develop their understanding of the National Curriculum, as well as experienced support staff seeking a new and rewarding opportunity.

The Role - Academic Support Specialist

Support teaching and learning within the classroom environment
Work alongside experienced teachers to create an engaging and inclusive learning atmosphere
Provide targeted support to pupils to help maximise their learning potential
Assist with the delivery of creative and well-planned lessons
Support pupils with varying needs, including ASD, behavioural challenges, and learning difficulties
Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupil engagement

A positive, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Passion for supporting children's learning and development
Experience working with children (desirable but not essential) - including mentoring, tutoring, childcare, nursery work, coaching, or classroom support
Interest in pursuing a career in education (ideal for graduates or aspiring teachers)
