We’re working with supportive schools who are looking for Learning Support Assistants to work with pupils with autism. It’s about building trust, creating consistency, and helping each child feel safe enough to learn.

• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
• Helping children manage routines and transitions
• Using clear, simple communication to support understanding
• Creating a calm, structured environment where pupils can thrive
• Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to adapt learning

• Genuinely caring and emotionally aware
• Patient, calm, and consistent
• Understanding of autism or keen to learn more
• Confident building relationships with children who may communicate differently
• Resilient, with a positive, steady approach

Experience in SEND is great, but your attitude and empathy matter just as much.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
