Learning Support Assistant - Secondary Schools

Short‑term & Long‑term Placements | Teaching Agency

We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work across secondary schools through a teaching agency. This role offers a mixture of short‑term and long‑term placements, providing flexibility and varied experience in different school settings.

This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to make a positive career change into education or gain valuable classroom experience while supporting young people in their learning.

The Role
  • Supporting students in the classroom on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Working with pupils who may have SEN, behavioural needs, or require additional academic support
  • Helping to create a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For
  • Previous classroom or school-based experience is a strong advantage
  • A genuine interest in supporting young people at secondary level
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, adaptable attitude
  • Experience in education, care, youth work, coaching, or similar roles is welcomed
  • Ability to build rapport and support students with diverse needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
