Position: ECTs looking to build confidence in SEND- Start Here

Just finished your PGCE and wondering where to begin?

If you’re curious about SEND education, love the idea of smaller class sizes, or want to build serious classroom confidence before stepping into a mainstream role, this could be the perfect first step.

We’re working with welcoming SEND schools across Bath and Northeast Somerset looking for Early Career Teachers who are ready to learn, grow, and make a real difference from day one.

No two days look the same in SEND, and that’s exactly why so many ECTs love it.

You’ll build brilliant behaviour management skills, learn how to adapt teaching creatively, and work alongside experienced staff who genuinely support you. Think of it as your teaching toolkit getting an upgrade, fast.

What you’ll get:
  • Hands‑on classroom experience in supportive SEND settings
  • Guidance from experienced teachers and SENCOs
  • Opportunities to work with pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex needs
  • A chance to discover the kind of educator you want to become
  • Flexible roles, long‑term placements, and permanent opportunities
We’re looking for ECTs who are:
  • Compassionate and patient
  • Keen to learn and try new approaches
  • Calm under pressure
  • Ready to build confidence in the classroom

And don’t worry, you won’t be thrown in at the deep end. We’ll support you every step of the way with friendly consultants, ongoing CPD, and schools that genuinely want you to succeed.
