Position: Bursary Support and Educational Partnerships Lead

As Bath’s oldest School, King Edward’s School (KES) is renowned for its tradition of academic excellence and active engagement within the local community. The School is looking to appoint its first Bursary Support and Educational Partnerships Lead.

In developing such relationships, the position holder will not only help the expansion of the programmes of engagement and support which KES has with these schools and organisations, but also seek to widen access to a KES education, including through the promotion and securing of an increased number of applications to the School’s significant means-tested Bursary Programme. As part of this role, the position holder will also provide support to families when applying for bursaries and to pupils who hold bursaries and their families during their time at KES.

The ideal candidate will be passionate, not only about the role which education plays in transforming the lives of young people, but also in ensuring that opportunities are rightly accessible to all in the community. You will be empathetic, an excellent communicator and a self‑motivated individual, determined to make a difference in such a role.

The position has initially been funded for two years and so the role is offered on a fixed term basis. However, the School is also aiming to secure future funding for the role. As a result, for the right individual, we would be hopeful that there would the opportunity for this to be extended, assuming that the initial two‑year pilot phase proves successful.

The role is offered on a part‑time basis of 18.5 hours per week, worked over three days a week, all year round. This role attracts an annual full‑time salary of £40,803-£42,759, which equates to an actual salary of £20,402-£21,380 per annum.

If you are interested in the role and would like to discuss it further, please do not hesitate to email  to arrange an informal call. Please use the link below for further information about King Edward's and to apply.
