Description

We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Law who will design and deliver content across a range of Law modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will support and assess learners, contribute to curriculum planning and development, and engage in research and scholarly activity.

About the Role

Within the role you will design and deliver high‑quality teaching, assess learners across business‑related subjects, and contribute to curriculum development, pedagogical innovation, and the enhancement of the student experience. You will engage in relevant research and scholarly activity, build productive relationships with academic, professional, and industry networks, and ensure compliance with quality assurance and regulatory requirements. The role also includes supporting recruitment and promotional activities, undertaking school administrative responsibilities, contributing to the wider academic community, and, where appropriate, mentoring less experienced colleagues.

  • Ability to teach on core modules
  • Flexibility to cover for staff absence and fill roles as and when necessary
  • Applicants with two years or less full‑time equivalent teaching experience in Higher Education who do not hold a Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Certificate accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or HEA fellowship will be required to complete an approved Certificate in Professional Learning in Higher Education course during the first two years of employment.
  • Applicants with more than two years full‑time equivalent teaching experience in Higher Education who do not hold a Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Certificate accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or HEA fellowship will be required to accredit their practice through the HEA fellowship application process during the six‑month probation period.

Grade Ac3S – Starting from £44,746 rising to £47,389 per annum.
