Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Education, Head of Pharmacy Practice

The Department of Life Sciences is seeking an outstanding academic practitioner to lead the Pharmacy Practice elements of our MPharm degree and taught postgraduate programmes. This full‑time, permanent role involves curriculum development, teaching, staff line management, and academic citizenship.

What you will do
  • Contribute to innovative teaching in the MPharm and postgraduate programmes, including curriculum development aligned to your expertise.
  • Lead the Pharmacy Practice elements of the MPharm, including line management of staff in the pharmacy practice team.
  • Undertake academic citizenship duties such as Academic Advisor and other service roles.
  • Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, based in Bath with occasional travel to Plymouth.

About the Department

The Department of Life Sciences at the University of Bath was established in 2022 through the merger of former biology, biochemistry, pharmacology and pharmacy departments. It promotes an interdisciplinary, collaborative culture and works closely with other science departments, the Department for Health, Psychology, and Management.
