SEMH Teacher (Mainstream/SEN) – Peasedown
Paid to Scale Full‑time, Start ASAP or September.
OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a supportive school in Peasedown. You will work within a mainstream setting with SEN responsibilities, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Role- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons within a mainstream classroom
- Provide targeted support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Manage and support behaviour effectively using a consistent and nurturing approach
- Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff, and external professionals
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour is highly desirable
- Strong classroom management skills and a calm, patient approach
- Ability to build positive relationships and engage pupils who may struggle in traditional settings

- Flexible start date:
Immediate or September start available - Free DBS (refunded after 20 days of work)
- Specialist support and mentoring while you are working
- Able to work 5 days a week (term time only), Monday‑Friday 8:30‑15:30
- Right to work in the UK – we cannot accept sponsorship or a skilled worker visa
- Minimum two recent references, covering the last two years
- Up‑to‑date DBS/police check, or willingness to obtain one
- If you do not have a Non‑Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we can process a new one for a cost of £62.70 which will be refunded after 20 days of work
Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this ensures transparent payment with no hidden fees. Pay rate is indicative and includes holiday pay.
