Overview

Forest School Leader, St John's Catholic Primary School

Part of the Dunstan Catholic Educational Trust

Required from: 7th September 2026

Fixed 12-month contract. One day a week. 6.5 hours a day. Term-time only.

Salary: £31,537 - £33,699 (actual £4,692 - £5,013)

Responsibilities

We are looking for an inspiring Forest School Leader to work with groups of children across the school in our outdoor area. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic with a passion for outdoor learning.

The post holder will need to have a Level 3 Forest School Training Certificate. The preferred day of the week will be discussed with the successful applicant.

In this exciting venture the postholder will be supported and valued in our motivated and caring team.

All staff and volunteers are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Barring check before taking up their new position and will support our vigorous safeguarding procedures. Candidates need to be aware that this is a Catholic school and it is important that they feel able to support and uphold this ethos fully. The school is committed to safeguarding children and young people, and all staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment.
