Looking to turn your degree into a meaningful career? Axcis Education is recruiting graduates to work as Learning Support Assistants in schools across Bath and BANES.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates interested in teaching, educational psychology, psychology, counselling, social work, youth work, SEN or children's services.
You don't need a teaching qualification to get started.
What you'll gainYou’ll develop practical experience supporting children and young people, working alongside qualified teachers and school staff.
Your responsibilities could include:- Supporting pupils in lessons
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
- Supporting children with additional needs
- Encouraging confidence and independence
- Developing positive relationships with pupils
- Supporting classroom activities
- Patient and approachable
- Confident communicating with children
- Reliable and professional
- Interested in education or working with young people
- Keen to develop practical experience
Previous experience with children is advantageous but not essential.
Experience through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering or care work is also valuable.
