Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost assessments for materials, labour, plant and subcontract packages. Analyse technical drawings, specifications and works information to define scope clearly. Lead the tender process, ensuring estimates are internally aligned and submitted on time. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing. Produce clear documentation and handover materials to support project teams and contribute to continuous improvement in estimating standards.
Your Profile A background in civil engineering, infrastructure or earthworks estimating with a track record of producing first-principles cost models. Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and commercial awareness. Proficiency in industry-standard estimating tools and high competence in Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience reviewing tender documents and managing bid inputs end-to-end. Qualifications &
Desirable Experience Typically 3 years' experience in estimating within civil engineering, earthworks or similar sectors. Experience on large-scale or technically complex schemes and an understanding of UK specification and cost drivers are advantageous.
